What is the similarity between Mayank and Arjun Bijlani?
I think Mayank and Arjun are both loved equally. I am not intelligent as Mayank, but yes I am a straightforward person like him.
People love to see Mayank and Nupur’s onscreen relationship, according to you What is their USP ?
I think the biggest USP would be our fights which we can start off from literally anything and everything. Also the chemistry which we share is superb. We don’t follow any given guidelines, we follow our inner instinct, that results in better understanding between the writer and us.
How is your rapport with your costars especially the Co-leads Rati Pandey, Mohit Sehgal and Sanaya?
It’s surprisingly healthy especially with Sanaya with whom I had worked before. With Rati, now that we are shooting for 9 months together, we know each other quite well. We spend more time on the sets with each other than with our families, so definitely it turns out to be a healthy one for everyone of us.
Recently you suffered a Shoulder Injury,what exactly had happened?
I tore my ligament while performing a fight sequence in Miley Jab Hum Tum. I was put on sling for 3 months and even today I cannot lift my hand up. But yes, I am not using the sling anymore. Right now i am going through the physiotherapy sessions but it takes quite a lot of my time.
Now that Mayank is in love with Nupur, will his Lady love get any hints or whether she would reciprocate this in future?
I have always believed in Lady Luck whether it is onscreen or off screen. I Think it’s a God’s gift and thus a very special thing, for rest keep watching the show!
Any Bollywood Aspirations?
I am already doing 2 youth based shows. So I think this is the right time to take up a movie. I would like to do something in the lines of Jaane Tu yaa Jaane Naa or say Ishq Vishq. However, Ishq Vishq would suit me better as I am playing something similar in my show too. If anything comes across like this I would surely take up otherwise I am happy in whatever I am doing right now. But yes films are great medium to showcase your talent.
Any unforgettable incident with fans…
The most unforgettable incident happened when we’d been to Kolkatta and Rati was with me then. A female fan came up to me who was very angry and agitated with Rati and started shouting that Arjun is mine, Arjun is mine! We managed to move from there but Rati got shocked seeing this. We humbled her down and relaxed her and eventually told her to forget the incident.
Well, this was Arjun for you all, your lovable Mayank. We wish him great luck and hope that his dreams come out true soon!
